Preamble
I wasn't planning on posting a second blog about CCP or EVE Online after my last post, but this is too important and sickening to ignore. I feel it important to let others know how dangerous it is to invest their time and money into a company who's idea of customer support is about as misleading as I've ever seen.
I also would like anyone reading this to know that I've seen a lot of bad shit go down. I've been engaged in the MMO scene since EverQuest: The Scars of Velious. I've either subscribed to the retail version, trial played or beta tested almost every major MMO that's come out since. Sony Online Entertainment was bad, but nowhere near as bad as what I'm about to describe.
It should be known that CCP does not have a clean history. While it's hard to believe anything you read on the internet (including this post), it's not very difficult to find news and blog posts about corruption within CCP. Particularly in regard to game masters using their power to help players who in-turn help developers through a system of player-voted development.
